Las Vegas is not only the largest city in Nevada, it is a world-renowned tourist destination famous for its first-class dining and entertainment. Activity is abundant at all hours of the day and night in this bustling city. Unfortunately, overcrowding has become a problem in recent years, and traffic jams have become the norm. Constantly crowded and congested roadways are leading to more and more serious car accidents. A recent crash in Las Vegas resulted in three people suffering serious injuries.
The accident happened during the morning commute at the intersection of Sandalwood Drive and Flamingo Road, near Rainbow Boulevard. According to reports, the driver of an SUV was headed east on Flamingo Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Sandalwood Drive. Reports said the SUV turned into the path of an oncoming sedan.
Reportedly, the ensuing collision caused the sedan to leave the roadway and run into a concrete block wall that was just northwest of the intersection. The SUV spun counterclockwise and hit a concrete block fence. Authorities said the drivers of both vehicles and a 12-year-old boy were seriously injured in the crash and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said they do not suspect impairment played a role in the incident.
These days, car accidents can happen in a split second when least expected. Anytime a Nevada resident suffers injuries or loss because of negligence in an accident, he or she has the right to contact a legal representative and pursue claims for monetary damages. Compensation from a successfully litigated lawsuit could help victims and families get through this difficult and challenging experience.
